Single-Use Foodware Ordinance Implementation
Presented by City of Chicago Department of Business Affairs & Consumer Protection (BACP)

The single-use foodware ordinance requires food establishments to only provide single-use foodware either upon the request of the customer or at a self-service station. Single-use foodware means any eating utensil or other food service item intended for single-use including forks, spoons, sporks, knives, chopsticks, stirrers, drink stoppers, splash sticks, cocktail sticks, toothpicks, napkins, wet-wipes, cup sleeves, beverage trays, disposable plates, and condiment packets. The ordinance is effective on January 18, 2022. This webinar will review the requirements of the ordinance.
