Name: Restorative Yoga
Date: August 18, 2019
Time: 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM CDT
Event Description:

Treat yourself to one and a half hours of stretching and relaxation for your body and mind.

This workshop will begin with a half hour of movement in which we work up our heart rate and stretch our body so it is ready to relax. Then enjoy a number of restorative yoga postures that help your mind and body relax.

Various postures can relieve headaches, aid digestion, deepen your breathing, renew your feet and legs, etc. So come for some R & R to rest and renew!

About Carol: Carol came to yoga around 1996 to help deal with lower back challenges and stayed on to eventually complete her Yoga 200-hour Teacher Training Program in 2014. Her classes are alignment based, fun, and differentiated to meet the needs of her students. Special areas of interest/advanced training include Yoga4Classrooms, restorative yoga, anatomy, and the Prison Yoga Project. In addition to teaching neighborhood yoga classes, Carol volunteers teaching yoga at the Chicago Youth Detention Center.
