Follow Me on Friday to Caffé ArrivaDolce Join Alderman Moore at Follow Me on Friday as he cuts the ribbon on yet another new Rogers Park business, Caffé ArrivaDolce, 6451 N. Sheridan (just south of the Loyola L stop). Owner Jill Gross got her start as a business owner six years ago, opening an independent coffee house in downtown Highland Park. ArrivaDolce Gelato & Coffee Bar became a thriving business, more than holding its own against the national chains. Jill has brought to Rogers Park her delicious espresso drinks, freshly roasted coffee, homemade baked goods, locally sourced soups, gelato and other specialty products. The Rogers Park shop offers customers the same homey ambiance as the Highland Park store. Jill’s goal is to provide a friendly atmosphere where you can sip your favorite espresso drink and enjoy a wealth of homemade baked goods, such as scones, muffins, and banana and pumpkin breads, plus soups and sandwiches. Jill says the scones in particular are the best you will ever have in your life. She’s pleased with the progress she’s seen in Rogers Park. “It’s a great location,” Jill says. “A lot of new businesses have opened up and a lot of new developments are taking place. It’s a perfect spot for us,” she adds. Stop by and enjoy a sample of their soups, sandwiches and gelato. Alderman Moore's staff will be offering a complimentary beer, wine and soft drinks. They’ll also offer up a little Baileys Irish Cream to add to your coffee, a perfect antidote to tomorrow’s winter chill! “Follow Me on Friday” is one of Alderman Moore's efforts to encourage his constituents to sample some of the 49th Ward’s finest restaurants, pubs and businesses. About once or twice a month on his Facebook page, he posts the name and location of a local restaurant, pub or business where he’ll be hanging out after work on Friday.
