Colvin Concerts: P A U L / S I M O N

P A U L / S I M O N is bassist Jon Paul and keyboardist Fred Simon. Friends and musical colleagues for decades, they teamed up as a duo to play the music of some of the greatest songwriters of all time: The Beatles, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Wonder, Bob Dylan, Miles Davis, Charlie Haden, and, yes, Paul Simon — to name just a few — as well as some of their own original tunes. Their delicious musical stew of jazz, rock, folk, classical, and pop, is seasoned to taste and is sure to inspire a smile from almost anyone who loves music.

Jon Paul has performed and/or recorded with Tributosaurus, Fareed Haque, Danilo Perez, Tom Morello, Chuchito Valdes, Jimmy Chamberlain, Bobby Keyes, Fiona Grey, Big Star, and many other musicians of note including Fred Simon.

Fred Simon has released seven albums of his own music, and he has performed and/or recorded with Tributosaurus, Fareed Haque, Ralph Towner, Paul McCandless, Larry Coryell, Lyle Mays, Iain Matthews, Jerry Goodman, Megon McDonough, Kurt Elling, The Stan Kenton Orchestra, and many other musicians of note including Jon Paul.

Colvin House cannot provide parking on site for this event. The first 20 cars can park free at George B. Swift Elementary school, just a block west of Colvin House. Please pull up to Colvin House's driveway gate (Thorndale Ave) first to receive a parking permit which will provide further instruction.

For $12-$14, valet parking is also available at the Malibu Condominiums (6007 N Sheridan) public garage, just across the street, north of Colvin House. This parking can be validated by Colvin House for $2 off.

They recommend arriving early if you need to park.
