Event Description:

Eiren Caffall is a musician and writer based in Chicago. She has released three records of original songs with her band, including Slipping the Holdfast, Civil Twilight and Prairie Music and was awarded a 3Arts Make a Wave grant in music in 2021. She is the screenwriter for Becoming Ocean, a short film that has appeared at film festivals nationally and internationally, including Amsterdam and Morocco. Her writing on loss and illness, oceans and extinction have appeared in The Los Angeles Review of Books, Al Jazeera, Literary Hub, Minding Nature and The Rumpus.

Eiren Caffall is a singer-writer, lap steel guitar player, and writer. Her songs are usually underwater, riding glaciers, sprinkled with insects and dirt.

Attendees will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination upon entry.

Proof of vaccination can be your original vaccine card, a photo of it on your phone, or a paper copy. The name on your vaccine card must match that on your photo ID.

Colvin House is thrilled to partner with their neighbor, Rewired Cafe, for Colvin Concerts! Using QR codes, guests will be able to order right from their seats and have food delivered.

Helpful Info:

Colvin House cannot provide parking on site for this event. The first 20 cars can park free at George B. Swift Elementary school, just a block west of Colvin House. Please pull up to Colvin House's driveway gate (Thorndale Ave.) first to receive a parking permit which will provide further instruction.

For $12-$14, valet parking is also available at the Malibu Condominiums (6007 N. Sheridan Rd.) public garage, just across the street, north of Colvin House. This parking can be validated by Colvin House for $2 off.

They recommend arriving early if you need to park.

+ Seating will be socially distanced, we recommend purchasing tickets as a group so that staff can plan to seat your party together.

+ While tickets can be purchased at the door upon arrival, please note that Colvin House cannot make changes so please bring the exact amount.

+ Bring-Your-Own-Refreshment! You are welcome to enjoy your own beverages and food at your table.

+ Keep an eye on this link as well as your inbox for any announcements in the case of a postponement.

Ticket price is a suggested donation so that Colvin House can pay the talented, local artists and continue supporting the performing arts. They ask that you contribute $20, $10 or even $5 toward paying the musicians and staff for their efforts in producing these community concerts at the Colvin House.
