Artist of the Wall

The Artists of the Wall Festival is held each summer over Father’s Day weekend, neighbors of all ages come together to collaborate on the 600-foot mural at Loyola Park Beach between Farwell and Morse Avenues. The artists finished works remain until May of the following year, when the wall is again prepped, whitewashed and readied for the next eager participants. Catch free, live music on the Windform Music Stage from noon to 5:30 p.m. each afternoon at the south end of the wall. Roger’s Park favorites, The Pratt Cattz traditionally close the festivities on Sunday. The festival is coordinated by the all-volunteer Loyola Park Advisory Council. Saturday, June 16th: -View live art creations by AoW artists -Arts activities tent for all ages 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. -Live music 12 to 5:30 p.m. -Nature activities tent with rock painting Sunday, June 17th: -View live art creations by AoW artists -Arts activities tent for all ages 11 a.m. to 23 p.m. -Live music 12 to 5:30 p.m. -Nature activities tent with rock painting -Barrell of Monkeys live performance 3 to 3:45 p.m. Loyola Park Advisory Council: The Loyola Park Advisory Council (LPAC) is a volunteer group of Rogers Park residents who meet the first Wednesday of each month at the Loyola Park Fieldhouse. LPAC puts on the annual Artists of the Wall festival in cooperation with the Chicago Park District. The Artists of the Wall festival is the main fundraiser for the Council. Artist fees and sponsor donations from the festival help fund a variety of programs at Loyola Park for our community throughout the year.
