626 Day - Community Celebration

626 Day is a day to celebrate the 60626 community and support small businesses.

Small-independently owned businesses are an integral part of what makes Rogers Park special. The array of businesses and their offerings elevate the diversity of the neighborhood.

By shopping locally your dollars stay in our community and help build stronger businesses, provide more employment opportunities and help develop Rogers Park into a more sustainable and vibrant community.

By supporting small businesses, you are investing in your community!

RAFFLES (Shop Where Your Heart Is)
This year we will offer drawings for a chance to win gift cards from local restaurants and stores in order to support local independently-owned businesses in Rogers Park on 626 Day (June 26th). 

To enter and be eligible:

• Each receipt submitted must total $26 or more
• Purchases have to be made on June 26, 2021
• Receipts must be from an independent business in the 60626 zip code 

Shoppers can enter as many receipts as they want, but make sure to submit each one with a separate form when submitting online. To enter, take a picture of your receipt and submit it through our online form, here or drop it off at our office at 1448 W. Morse Ave.

Picnic Wine & Provisions	7301 N. Sheridan Rd.	3 - 7pm	626 Day Menu It will include items for $6.26 (glass of wine, bottle of wine, beer, food items)
Pop-Up People Spot at Athena Board Game Cafe	1418 W. Howard St	12 - 8pm	Join us for a Pop-up People Spot for interactive activities. Activities may include board games, arts and crafts, live painting, live music, business specials and more
PRIDE North                      6/26 & 6/27	Glenwood & Morse	12 - 10pm	Street festival featuring DJs and live entertainment across two stages
Stone Specialists, LLC			Restore your natural stone bathroom floor and shower and get vanity restored complimentary | - Restore your natural stone kitchen floor and island kitchen and get countertops restored complimentary. Both offers are for natural stone only
TeeMart Decorated Apparel	1441 W. Morse Ave.	11am - 6pm	Selling Rogers Park apparel items like t-shirts, hoodies and tank tops as well as a few drinkware items
XO Marshmallow	6977 N. Sheridan Rd.	11am - 9pm	Bananas Froster for $6.26 (normally $8.25)

On 626 Day we ask you to support local businesses by shopping, promoting and/or leaving positive reviews. Below are some ways YOU can show your love!

• Post on social media. Show how you are celebrating the community and use #626Day
• Support your local businesses; ?Like, Heart, Follow? Rogers Park businesses on your social media platforms and share their posts, write positive reviews and shop small
• Share the 626 Day FB event HERE
• Chalk the streets
• Check up on your neighbors
• Hang drawings on windows or we created a poster, download HERE
• Make noise at 6:26 p.m. (don?t make noise at 6:26 a.m.)
• Yarn bomb a fence, your door or a tree
• Fly a kite at a park nearby
• Plan a block clean-up
• Practice social distancing Zumba on sidewalks and in parks
• Do whatever makes you happy

El 626 Day es un día para celebrar la comunidad 60626 en Rogers Park y apoyar a los negocios pequeños.

Negocios pequeños de propietarios independientes son parte integral que hacen de Rogers Park algo especial. Su propio estilo de presentar sus tiendas y sus productos exalta la diversidad del vecindario.

En el 626 Day puede apoyar a negocios pequeños al ir de compares, hacer una donación, promover y/o dejar una evaluación positiva en Facebook, Yelp o Google.

SORTEOS (Compre, Donde Esté Su Corazón)
Este año vamos a hacer sorteos para ganar certificados de regalos de restaurantes y tiendas locales para apoyar a negocios locales e independientes en Rogers Park en el Día 626 Day (junio 26th).

Para entrar y calificar en el sorteo:

• cada recibo debe de ser de una compra total de más de $26
• las compras tienen que ser hechas en junio 26 del 2021
• los recibos de compra tienen que ser de un negocio independiente que esté dentro del área 60626 de Rogers Park

Se puede ingresar al sorteo la cantidad de recibos que se desee pero asegúrese de ingresar un formulario por cada recibo en línea. tinyurl.com/626Form21. Para participar tome una foto de su recibo de compras e ingréselo por medio del formulario en línea tinyurl.com/626Form21 o puede entregar el recibo(s) en nuestra oficina, 1448 W. Morse Ave.

Ideas de como celebrar 626 Day:

• Publique una entrada en sus redes sociales y comparta como está celebrando la omunidad y use #626Day
• Apoye a negocios locales: "Like, Heart, Follow" los medios sociales de negocios en Rogers Park businesses, comparta las entradas de negocios, escriba comentarios positivos y vaya de compras
• Decore las calles con arte echo con tiza
• Comparta el evento de 626 Day de Facebook AQUÍ
• Coloque dibujos en sus ventanas o use el cartel de 626 Day que creamos AQUÍ
• Haga ruido a las 6:26 p.m. (pero no haga ruido a las 6:26 a.m.)
• Decore un arbol, su valla, su puerta con lana o tela
