49th Ward Shred-a-Thon & Electronics Recycling

The 49th Ward office is partnering with Midway Moving and Newtech E-scrap Recycling to host an electronics recycling and sensitive document shredding event. 

Attendees are asked to limit the documents they bring to no more than 2 bankers boxes so everyone has an opportunity to shred their sensitive documents.

This event is limited to personal sensitive documents only. Businesses seeking to shred documents will need to hire a private provider for those services.

Please remove any binder clips and paper clips from your documents. These items jam up the shredder and can cause it to break in the middle of an event. 

Remember to limit items you bring to shred to sensitive documents only.

These items cannot be shredded and will be sent home with the individual who brought them.

• Clothing
• Old CDs
• Old tube TVs
•  CRTs

Newtech E-Scrap Recycling will have one box truck to collect old electronics for recycling.
