The Courtyard Series: John Neafsey

John is a native Rogers Parker whose two great loves are Chicago Blues and traditional Irish music. In his teens, he began sitting in with street bands at the Maxwell Street outdoor market and later played with Pat Rushing, Johnny Embry, and the Bad Boys Blues Band. John is also the lead singer and guitarist for Parting Glass, a local trio that plays Irish, bluegrass, blues, and other roots music.

John is performing Classic 1950s Chicago Blues in the styles of Little Walter, Jimmy Rogers, Muddy Waters, Jimmy Reed, and more, for Colvin House.

Helpful Info:

Colvin House cannot provide parking on site for this event. The first 20 cars can park free at George B. Swift Elementary school, just a block west of Colvin House. Please pull up to Colvin House's driveway gate (Thorndale Ave) first to receive a parking permit which will provide further instruction.

For $12-$14, valet parking is also available at the Malibu Condominiums (6007 N. Sheridan Rd.) public garage, just across the street, north of Colvin House. This parking can be validated by Colvin House for $2 off.

Arrive early if you need to park.
